I can’t believe I actually finished something! I didn’t get any of the throw pillows done, or get to play with my fabric. But I do however get one of my topiaries done! I have also been adding a whole bunch of stuff to my shop

Here is the topiary I finished yesterday…img_3691

Here is the second set of photos of projects/things around the studio..

I am flying off this morning out of Wenatchee over to Seattle. Then Wednesday morning at 4am we leave from Seattle to Illinois!

I will post pictures during our trip, I hope you all have a wonderful week. I really hope to post more baby pictures soon! Everyone is so busy loving all over him they are forgetting to send me pictures! Humph! I guess I will just have to do myself. Ok maybe Jason will have to take the pictures, I am sure I will be to busy loving all over him too hehe.

Yes I am a Harry Potter addict. There I said it! This is my “platform 9 3/4 clock” I have it in my studio. In my studio I try to create an area that blends the real and make believe of everything I love. It helps to fuel my creativity and adds uniqueness to my space. This is one of my favorite things in my studio.

Whenever my Grandmother came across a button she used to always say “button button who’s got the button.” I love buying old button collections, they remind me of her.

The boutique is now open! I am so excited. I realized that not only do I love sewing and making jewelry, I also really really enjoy making things for the home. So thats what I did. I decided to open a little online boutique of my own to share my creations. I didn’t think it would be open until after the new year, but it is! Woohoo. There are still some tweeks to work on, like the welcome page and the about but for the most part it is up.

Here are some items that I have been working on and will be in the Boutique

I will be adding all of these into the Boutique today, it’s so exciting!

This past weekend was so much fun with my brother and his family. Thank you for all your well wishes, wishing me a good time. It was fabulous. He dressed up in a santa suite and played santa for my little niece Isabella. It was so great. I will be posting pictures soon I promise.

I hope you are all having a wonderful time preparing for the Holiday!

Day dream that is. So I thought it was only fitting to put the word “dream” on the banner I was making for my studio.

I have to make the bias tape to attach them all together and hang up.

I also finished a few other things yesterday:

You can’t really see it in the photo but she has glitter on her eyes, hair and lips.

Again the glitter didn’t show up, the butterfly wings are glittered.

This weekend we are having an early christmas with my brother and his family. I am so excited. It will be lots of fun and good food!

I suppose I should start wrapping presents ugh, I tried to do one last night and well I don’t like it. I am seriously considering dropping everything off at the mall gift wrap place. Do you think that is considered cheating? hahah

Have a great day!

I thought I would share a few of my favorite pictures/inspirations from my favorite book. Better Homes and Gardens, 300 cottage style decorating ideas. I just love this book. I have had it for years and it never gets dull! Every time I look through it I see something that I had missed the last 200 times I looked through hahah…

I thought you might enjoy these as much as I do…

I just love the iron bed frames and the rose prints

someday I am going to make me a little bench like this. take a bed frame and shorten the side boards. I just love this idea!

I love this idea too… a dresser on the wall. Isn’t it great!!

I have so many uses for that metal storage tree!! Now if only I could find one somewhere….

Oh look, they took a picture of my house for this picture… heheheh I wish!

Oh and there is my backyard…. In my dreams!

I just love this book, did I say that already?

I thought I would also share a few projects that are still in the works… I am liking how they are coming along so far, hopefully I will finish them up today..

I painted the pot and stem and then added moss for the top of this topiary. I want to add a few embellishments and it will be done.

These are some tags that I am working on…

and this is a candle holder that I made. It has old postcard prints all over it.

it looks really pretty with a tea candle in it. I still need to add a few things to it and then it will be done.

I have a new website that I will hopefully be sharing with all of you in a few short days, these items are for that site! I can’t wait to show you all!

Have a wonderful day… I hear that snow is on the way… I better stock up on hot cocoa!

Spending the last week on the couch has been torture. I thought I was feeling pretty good, I had been up doing housework and tidied up the studio. So I decided to go out to a movie that Jason had really been wanting to see. Oh, huge mistake. I spent the whole next day on the couch! My mom has had this cold going on 3 weeks now! This is driving me nuts.

Sunday I made a mess, I have had a lot of ideas while laying on my couch *ugh* I hate sitting still. My studio is a disaster now, I just went to town…. I had so much fun. I made my first decoupage on a glass lamp, made some altered art pictures, a framed topiary piece and a lampshade. I had a blast!

This is one of my favorites, a… hmm I don’t know what you would call it hahah

Have a wonderful day!

I still not feeling 100% but I think I will live. Yesterday I did all my running. I got the grocery shopping done, returned a pair of pants, and stopped by the craft store.

Today I have to finish decorating the house, I have christmas decorations everywhere. I have to finish stamping the cloth napkins, tidy up my studio, bake a cake, a pie, make a pan cake cake, clear off the table, set it up, dig out my candle holders, finish the laundry, bathe the dogs, vacuum.. well you get the picture.

Oh my… this picture looks a little frightening…

Yeah, a little frightening.

I already have a bunt cake in the oven… I can’t believe I am baking a cake and can’t eat it until tomorrow.. How wrong is that!

And then to finish stamping my napkins….

I was hoping that if I got everything done in time I could go see Twilight. I have been waiting for this movie to come out since, well they announced it. I don’t think I will make it. I might try to go on Sunday. It is worth the wait I am sure.

I hope you all have a wonderful Friday. I am off to do some more baking…. hmm I wonder if I could just take a bite and fill in the hole with frosting! heheh

xoxo

Tuesday evening I started feeling a bit under the weather. I am sure it is just the time of year. I took yesterday and relaxed all day. Whew, it has been a very long while since I have done that. Ok maybe I didn’t take all day. I did come into my studio yesterday evening a put a bag together, but only after I had rested almost all day, I swear!

While I was resting on the couch I started working on this cross stitch that I just received in the mail. I love victorian things. Absolutely LOVE them, and I haven’t cross stitched in hmm a very long time. When I saw this I knew I just had to get it.

Here is what it will look like when I am finished

I just love the little kitties and the candles burning in the windows and the wrought iron fence and the light pole too, ok I just love it.

Here is what mine looks like so far…

I know.. I have a long ways to go. Those are the center windows that are almost done. After a while I started going cross eyed! hahah. I was so tired and had been staring at the canvas all day. I decided to stretch my legs and sneak into my studio. I was under careful watch by Jason and he had Kyla on patrol….

She told on me!

I just wanted to try out this new pattern..

I am not liking it. It needs some major adjustments. It wouldn’t be fun if it was thaaaat easy right?

I have been planning Thanksgiving dinner for this Saturday. We are having dinner early with my Mom because Jason and I are traveling over the mountain to have dinner with my Grandmother. It will be just the 3 of us. She is a kick, she still walks to work every day, she loves scrabble and hates me helping in the kitchen. She thinks I mess up her good cooking, I think she just doesn’t want me to show her up hahaha.

I have decided to have dinner at our house, since my Mom has always prepared dinner. This time I am doing the whole thing, a nice treat for her. I am very excited. I am a list girl, so needless to say there are post its EVERYWHERE! hehehe.

I already have the turkey thawing, but today I get the rest of the goodies. I am off to make my list. Right after I finish blog visiting :)

Have a wonderful day~ *hugs*

I decided to go ahead a decorate my big christmas tree. Once I get in the mood for Christmas there is no stopping me. Usually I am very methodical about my tree, taking care with every items placement. This year I couldn’t handle that, I just did what I wanted. I put things on there that I loved and that were just… me. I love my tree this year, Jason says it’s our best tree ever. I would have to agree with him. It’s not “stuffy” and perfect which is what I love about it.

This year I have added birds, clocks, thread spools, pictures, pocket watches, and fabric to name a few. Here are some pictures. I am sure I will add more too it as it gets closer to the Holiday.

I also made this little felt spool tree and added in there as well.

You can see more photos of my tree here

Christmas came early for me.. look what I got in the mail yesterday!!

Alicia Paulson’s book from Posie Gets Cozy

I was sooo excited to get this in the mail. I couldn’t wait, I had to start on a project right away. I am making some banners for my nieces for christmas.

I am making the banner with their names on it.

I was so excited to get started I picked up my supplies on my way home last night. I cut everything out including the letters out of wax paper. I went to iron them on and realized that wax paper was not the same thing as freezer paper. Oooops. Oh well, I am heading down to the store for freezer paper right now!

Have a great Friday!
